Wash away the years. Reveal the beauty beneath.
Walk around your house and look at the north side. Shaded walls stay damp, and damp is where algae and mildew settle in. Add spring pollen, road salt tracked onto the driveway and years of rain running down the siding, and the exterior slowly turns gray, green or black. It looks tired, but the damage goes beyond looks.
Mildew and algae hold moisture against siding and wood, and they make decks, steps and walkways slippery. Professional pressure washing removes that buildup, so surfaces dry faster and stay safe to walk on. With more than 20 years in construction and renovation, Silva Construction Pro knows how to get the dirt off without hurting what is underneath. We wash homes and commercial properties across Saugus and the North Shore.

Every material takes pressure differently, which is why power washing is never one-size-fits-all. This is how we approach the surfaces we clean most often:
Pressure alone is not always the answer. On vinyl and wood, the cleaning solution does much of the work and the water simply rinses it away. That is why most of our jobs combine water pressure with a cleaning solution matched to the surface. If you are unsure what you have, tell us when you call and we will recommend the right approach.
You do not have to wait for a full layer of grime. These are the usual signs:
One caution. If your home was built before 1978 and the paint is peeling, that paint may contain lead. Tell us before any washing starts, because loose paint chips need different handling than ordinary dirt.
In New England, timing matters. Late spring, after the heaviest pollen has fallen, works well for most homes. Early fall is the second good window: you go into winter with clean, dry surfaces instead of carrying mildew through the cold months.
Avoid washing when temperatures hover near freezing. Water that cannot drain fast turns to ice on steps and walkways and can damage surfaces. If you are planning to sell, host an event or repaint, work backward from that date, because surfaces need time to dry completely.
Paint and stain do not stick to dirt, chalk or mildew, and skipping the wash is one of the most common reasons a new coat peels early. A proper wash clears those contaminants along with loose paint, so the finish bonds to a clean surface and lasts longer.
Silva Construction Pro also handles interior and exterior painting, so the wash and the paint can be planned together, in the right order. Ask for both in the same estimate.
The honest answer is that it depends, because two houses of the same size can need very different work. These are the factors that move the price most: how much of the property you want cleaned and how many stories it has, the material (vinyl, wood, brick or concrete), how heavy the mold, mildew or stains are, and how easy the work area is to reach.
The fastest way to a real number is a free estimate. Tell us what you want cleaned and we will price that work for you. Request your quote online or call (978) 239-4443.
We also protect plants and landscaping as needed, so the yard comes through the job as clean as the house.
A little preparation keeps the job smooth. Before we arrive, close all windows and doors, move vehicles and outdoor furniture away from the work area, and put away or secure any delicate items near the house. We handle the rest.
If anything about your property needs extra attention, such as peeling paint, a fragile surface or a spot that is hard to reach, mention it when you call.

Every one to two years for most exteriors. Driveways and walkways benefit from yearly cleaning, especially in shaded areas where algae grows fast.
Not when the pressure matches the material. We use lower pressure on vinyl and wood and higher pressure on concrete and brick. Damage comes from too much force on the wrong surface.
Yes. We use cleaning solutions when needed to kill mold spores and help prevent regrowth, so the surface stays cleaner for longer.
Most jobs combine water pressure with a cleaning solution. The solution breaks down dirt, mold and stains far better than water alone.
